Join AC for an Adventure on the Alger Alp (South Route)! We’re thrilled to invite you to explore the breathtaking views from Alger Alp! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our community, enjoy mindful movement, and soak in the stunning scenery of the PNW. Let’s celebrate National Hiking Day and get outdoors!

If you’re meeting friends to carpool: Come to AC around 8:30/8:45 AM! Feel free to grab a coffee or snack from our AC CAFE for the ride!
The Hike Starts at 10 AM!
Hike Information: This moderate hike spans approximately 4.4 miles round trip, with an elevation gain of 1,150 feet. The highest point you'll reach is 1,272 feet. Prepare for a workout with stunning views at the top!
Breaks: We’ll take time to stop, snack, and hydrate along the way. Go at your own pace and listen to your body!
What to Bring: Remember your water bottle, sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather!
Feel free to bring your family, friends, and leashed dogs for this adventure! This trail is an old logging road so it’s wide enough to walk alongside friends!
This is a free community event aimed at bringing us together to move our bodies, make new friends, and enjoy the great outdoors.
TRAILHEAD DIRECTIONS
Travel on I-5 until you reach Exit 240 for Alger and Lake Samish Road. Turn east through downtown Alger and proceed 0.7 mi on Lake Samish Road to the intersection with Old Hwy 99. Lake Samish Road becomes Alger Cain Lake Road, and continue 0.2 miles east to reach the trailhead. Parking is on both sides of the shoulder, just past the trailhead, before a bridge. There is room for about 10 cars. There is no privy at the trailhead and no passes required.
