Hi amazing ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE friends!! I’m so excited to share my favorite smoothie recipes with y’all! Before you take advice from a stranger, haha, let me introduce myself and share how I am connected to AC!
I’m Megan! Over the last few years, I have had the pleasure of working with the Founder of AC, Bri, at tech companies and at ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE! Bri and I met in 2016 through a mutual friend. I was instantly inspired by her drive and work ethic. I asked what she did in her career and just like that she asked if I wanted to intern with her! I was so freaking excited for the experience and opportunity! Fast forward 4 years and now I get to be part of Bri’s DREAM through ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE!
About myself, I was born and raised in Washington State and spent my first two years of college at the University of Washington. I originally went to college believing I wanted to be a dentist and boy did that change! After meeting Bri and interning with her I changed my major to Media and Communications. In 2017, my family moved to Kentucky and I followed shortly after to finish my Bachelors degree at the University of Kentucky. In 2021, I moved back to Washington with my fiance, Austin! My hobbies include blogging, getting outdoors, quality time spent with friends and fam, and of course making delicious smoothies! If you follow me on Instagram you know I make a smoothie a day, so I wanted to share my tried and true favorite recipes with you! Let’s get into it!
SMOOTHIES
Tips & Tricks:
Cut up your bananas and freeze them - this makes the perfect textured smoothie!
Cut up ginger into blocks and add them to ice cube trays. Add some water to each spot and then freeze the tray. Use 1 ginger ice cube in your smoothie!
If your spinach or kale is about to go bad, freeze it - this makes a yummy textured smoothie too!
I use the Vitamix and it blends like a dream, but any smoothie blender works great for these recipes!
Alright, time to get down to business! Here are my 3 favorite recipes and ingredients!
INGREDIENTS:
Greens & Ginger Recipe
1 cup Coconut Water
Splash of Lemon Juice
1 cup Frozen Spinach
1 cup Frozen Pineapple
Ginger cube
1 scoop Hemp Seeds
1 scoop Chia Seeds
1 scoop Flaxseed
Banana Mango Recipe
1 cup Coconut Water
1 Banana
1 cup Spinach
1 cup Frozen Mango
1 scoop Hemp Seeds
1 scoop Chia Seeds
1 scoop Flaxseed
Everyday Greens Recipe
1 cup Coconut Water
Splash of Lemon Juice
1 Banana
Ginger cube
1 cup Frozen Pineapple
1 cup Spinach
1 scoop Hemp Seeds
1 scoop Chia Seeds
1 scoop Flaxseed
INSTRUCTIONS:
Throw it in a blender and enjoy!
