Summertime With Our Friend & AC Coach, Kathy!

Hi AC Fam! We have one of our very own AC Coaches, Kathy, sharing some fun activities for us to do this summer! Take it away Kathy!

Hello! It’s summertime, let’s celebrate! We deserve it… an afternoon at a local beach, a fun hike, camping, tons of time outdoors, a road trip and/or a vacation!! I am here to share summertime wellness, treats, and retreats!!

SUMMERTIME WELLNESS

Whatever it is, remember to plan some “Me Time.” When we are busy cramming everything into a few months of beautiful weather and going to our favorite places, we often forget to plan those few precious moments for ourselves.

When heading out on vacation, make sure to pack something for you. Download a book or a podcast, create a fun or relaxing playlist, pack your running shoes, or heck even bring your foldable yoga mat and a set of gliders to do an AC ON DEMAND Class! Your wellness isn’t selfish. It’s vital! Think positive around taking “Me Time.” It’s time to recharge, refuel, and reconnect - to yourself. 

What does “Me Time” look like for me you ask? A quiet meditation. A gentle yoga flow, a short run with my favorite playlist, or a walk on the shoreline during sunset.

SUMMERTIME TREATS

If you haven’t met me yet, there’s a reason my alter ego is named PeppyFitFoodie. I love to make, eat, try, and explore all things food. A great restaurant, a new recipe, an old favorite renewed… it’s all part of my happy place. 

Summertime brings fun picnic weather, backyard BBQs, and gatherings with friends and family. I love light refreshing treats that are easy to make, share with loved ones, and that incorporate fresh summer fruits. I know you’ll love my Berry Caprese Appetizers. SUMMERTIME RETREATS

The AC Community has loads of upcoming summer events including one I am hosting and excited to share… FLOW. EXPLORE. GROW. DAY RETREAT on Saturday, July 10th.

What inspired me to create this series? 2020 brought so many changes for many of us, especially those of us in the fitness world. As a swim instructor and Aquatics Director, my job immediately stopped… you can’t do virtual or Zoom swim lessons. haha!

So what did I do? After being a yoga enthusiast for over 10 years and taking up to 4 classes a week, I took the leap and enrolled in a yoga instructor certification course. I also enrolled in a group life coaching series. 

FLOW. EXPLORE. GROW. DAY RETREAT grew from there. It incorporates Yoga, Meditation, HIIT & Flow, time outdoors, and workshops to help us explore how we think of ourselves and how we approach life. It’s about finding our Warrior Goddesses… body, mind, and spirit. Yes, that alter ego, PeppyFitFoodie is about positivity. It’s about having the tools to create that positivity for yourself. Your journey, your path is all up to you, I’m here to help you take the first steps.
